I have worked as a medical illustrator for over twenty years creating illustrations and graphics. I began working at Northwestern Memorial Hospital doing computer graphics and they created a position of staff medical illustrator for me. My work has served NMH, Northwestern University Medical School, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.

Additional clients include TorranceLearning, Wellspring, a Division of CRC Health, Northwestern Medicine, PAPA At Chicago Executive, Cactus Juice, Leading Edge Flying Club, Friends of Meigs Field, MOVCO Media Productions, and others.

My undergrad degree is a BFA in painting and drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and my graduate degree is an MAMS (Master of Associated Medical Science) from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Biomedical Visualization.

I have lived in the greater Chicago area most of my life and was actually born in the building that my NMH office was in until 1999. I am passionate about feline diabetes, having successfully gotten one diabetic cat into remission and adopting two others, one pictured here with me, so they would not be euthanized. Feline diabetes should not be a death sentence as it is very treatable.

Other interests include flying (I earned my private pilot license in 1998); knitting, particularly lace; photography, kayaking, opera and theater.
